Salt and solar: the sea, differently

With Acqua Di Scandola, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato takes up the challenge of a marine fragrance that breaks with the traditional treatment of the note.

Iodized, aromatic and mineral, purely Mediterranean, exclusively Corsican.

A landscape fragrance, as surprising as the place that inspires it: the Scandola peninsula, in western Corsica. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this nature reserve is only accessible by sea.

A pure fragrance, reflecting three elements:
- The sea, distilled in an unprecedented seaweed extract, with clear and saline facets like turquoise water.
- The wilderness, translated by the aromatic nervousness of juniper and the spicy scent of immortelle.
- The rocks velvety with moss. Ochres like hot sand. Ochres like a skin salted by the sea, loved by the sun.

The sea is part of my blood and Scandola is a magical place, where I keep returning since always with fishermen friends who know every rock, every corner. Whatever the hours or the seasons, the colors change, on the sea side as well as on the land side. It is these flashes of color that animate the perfumer that I am. In my current search for naturalness and clarity, I wanted to express the marine accord in a different way than by artificial aquatic molecules, which are now overused. I found the key in a beautiful seaweed extract, reworked expressly to reflect my vision of the striking beauty of Scandola.
