Versailles, on a Christmas Eve in the 18th century. Wherever the eye rests, light dances in the mirrors. In the hearth, the fire crackles, giving way to a ballet of flames. In the richly ornate Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles, the fire’s light reflects and multiplies, reverberating endlessly. Through the La Nuit des Glaces collection, the spirit Trudon revives the scents of burning wood and sweet treats. With a hint of wax or a powdery trail, the winter solstice takes on an air of splendor. In La Nuit des Glaces, each glass is given a mirror finish.
The interior of the handcrafted glass is lined with hand-applied silver leaf. Each candle is then lacquered in shades of silver, gold, copper, or celadon. Thus enhanced, the glasses complement one another, reflecting the character of each parfum
A celadon-colored mirror effect for “Fir,” copper for “Nazareth,” and silver Cabinet des Miroirs and gold for Galerie des Flammes. The coat of arms Trudon stands out in relief, as sparkling as it is golden, and enhances the color of each glass. An original creation for the “La Nuit des Glaces” collection, the four scented candles come in festive, dreamlike packaging. Adorned with the coat of arms Trudon the silver mirror-effect boxes come to life, in relief, with texts and emblems hot-stamped in gold. The collection is rounded out by white Madeleine scented candles—available in the Fir and Nazareth scents—plus a set of four Fir cameos designed to diffuse their parfum using the “Promeneuse.” The Madeleines and cameos are also presented in silver mirror-effect boxes highlighted with hot-stamped gold inscriptions.
