Obtained from Opuntia ficus indica seeds, organic Prickly Pear vegetable oil is a 100% pure and natural phytotherapy product offered by Puressentiel. It is suitable for external use and is entirely produced in France.

SPECIFICITIES OF THE PRICKLY PEAR
The prickly pear is a plant which belongs to the Cactaceae family and which was discovered in Mexico. It has since naturalized in other regions of the world since it is found in the Mediterranean basin, as well as in South Africa and North Africa. This arborescent plant is between 3 and 5 meters high, and has flattened cladodes that are joined to each other like branches. The prickly pears, which develop in the floral receptacle, are fleshy berries that include many seeds or pips (about 300 for a 160 gram fruit), and whose color can vary from yellow to red through white.

For the elaboration of this Prickly Pear vegetable oil, Puressentiel has used these seeds by proceeding to an extraction by first cold pressure, which allows to perfectly preserve the active principles which are naturally in the plant. The result is a yellow vegetable oil, tending towards green, with a vegetable and slightly acidic smell, which will also suit vegans because of its entirely pure and natural composition.
