Uruk, the first great city of the ancient world, was the setting for the exploits of GILGAMESH, the mythical king on a QUEST FOR IMMORTALITY.
A figure of power and excess, he first celebrates the pleasures of the senses in an explosion of sun-kissed fruits. Juicy, radiant strawberry, mandarin, and marigold open the parfum with insolence.
Then the JOURNEY begins.
The notes grow darker; the earth tones take on a mystical quality. Cypriol, cedar, and tonka accompany the quest of a man confronted with his mortal condition.
At the bottom of the ocean lies the sacred flower. Its saffron promises ETERNITY, but the gods decide otherwise.
Though immortality eludes him, GILGAMESH nevertheless gains a place in history.
His name spans the centuries, preserved on humanity’s earliest tablets. Show less
