Inspired by the isolation and personal struggles of Virginia Woolf's \"Towards the Lighthouse\", Emilie Bouge wanted to recall the icy, dark night air she had felt when reading the text, and wanted to translate the emotion of that exhilarating feeling of freedom and isolation at once. The fragrance opens with a fresh, spicy note (cardamom) blended with crisp aromatic notes (sage, eucalyptus and mint) that evoke that cold, dark evening. The green grass note adds a natural touch, paying homage to the greenery that adorns this magnificent landscape. In the heart, a note of sea salt evokes sea spray, and several woods (cedar and cashmere) enhance Scherzo's emblematic white floral accord, giving it its unique, sophisticated character. In the base, myrrh and papyrus mingle.
