Jacques Guerlain named his creation Mitsouko as a tribute to the heroine of the novel La Bataille, which was a great success at the time. A beautiful Japanese bride, Mitsouko secretly loved a British officer. In 195, the Russo-Japanese war broke out. Dominating her feelings with nobility, Mitsouko awaits the outcome of the battle with dignity.

The incredible idea of Jacques Guerlain, which gives this perfume all its modernity, is to have dared to combine a chypre with a note as fruity as peach.

Designed by George Chevalier, its mythical \"inverted heart\" bottle is highlighted by graceful scrolls characteristic of the Art Nouveau. A true technical feat, its avant-garde cap in the shape of a hollowed-out heart evokes the delicate romanticism of this monument to perfumery.
