Perfumer Marie Hugentobler selects a natural narcissus of exceptional quality, from the high-altitude meadows of the French Aubrac mountains. Nearly one thousand six hundred kilograms of these wild flowers, picked by local growers, are needed to produce one kilogram of narcissus absolute, with its powerful yet delicate floral facets.

In NARCISSE TAIJI the perfumer highlights the opposing forces of this precious flower with a thousand faces. In contrast to the luminous facets and fresh, vegetal, moist scent of freshly picked flowers, the perfumer contrasts the dark, animalic side of narcissus, reinforced by leather and patchouli accents.
