Founded in 1774 by Michel Adam, a perfumer and glove maker from Versailles, the house opened its first boutique in Paris under the name “À la Reine des Fleurs.”

It was an instant success, particularly with the court of Louis XVI. That same year, Michel Adam created his first Eau de Cologne fragrance named “ Eau de Cologne de la Reine des Fleurs,” in homage to his boutique.

Adopted by Marie-Antoinette, this creation quickly became a staple at the royal court. In 1874, to mark the house’s centennial, its formula was reimagined while preserving its olfactory heritage. It is still offered today in keeping with this tradition.
