Soufflot is inspired by a passage from Ernest Hemingway's \"The Sun Also Rises\". As with Scherzo, this short passage was the only document sent to perfumer Mathieu Nardin for the creation of the fragrance parfum It describes the main character rising from his bed and walking down the street of Soufflot on a spring morning. The sun shines through the chestnut trees, flowers bloom in the market and the air is filled with brioche, coffee and tobacco. This short passage evokes a sense of awakening and awareness of the beauty of everyday life. On reading \"Le soleil se lève aussi\", Mathieu Nardin immediately wanted to recreate the olfactory memory of a morning stroll through the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris.

The enchantment of Paris on a spring morning, bewitching the wearer with the first rays of sunlight on the horse chestnut trees, filtering down to the garden paths in white blossom.
